At the Iroquois County State Wildlife Area, which is northeast of Kellart Lake, visitors can explore 2,480 acres of prairie marsh and dune flora. The park is well known for its excellent hiking and snowmobiling trails. Casual hunters love the park for its archery range, hand trap range, dog training areas, and opportunities to hunt deer and small game.
